Belly Dance Classes with Adelaide
- Mondays in Ocean Beach:
7:00- 8:00pm Mixed Level
Adelaide teaches very intimate classes Tuesday evenings out of her living room as it as it was traditionally done. These classes are helpful in receiving direct attention and specific instruction as well as creating a bond with classmates and the sacred teachings of this healing dance form.
Fee:
$12 drop in, $60 for 6 week card

Workshop description:
This workshop taught by Adelaide of The Shimmy Sisters, concentrates on combining Belly Dance with the practice of inner discovery. It focuses on awakening the coiled snake that lies at the base of our spine often referred to as “Kundalini". The image of coiling, like a spring, conveys the sense of untapped potential energy. The workshop includes a mixture of chakra knowledge, visualizations, and movement aimed to stimulate your dancing with new insights and creativity. This will be a fun class suitable for all skill levels!

Dance jam is a great on going "jam" where people can dance and play to their hearts desire. To get the evening started there is a class offered from 8-9 and on July 26th Adelaide will be the lucky Teacher.

Workshop Description: Adelaide is great at introducing Belly Dance in a way that sparks interest, intrigues the mind, and stimulates the body. This workshop is open to all skill levels, ages, and gender and will at the very least, be a fabulously fun way to express yourself. Adelaide has grown up around the dance, starting from her time of the womb, and literally knows Belly Dance inside and out. Beyond having fun, this workshop is great for anyone on the journey of getting to really know your body. Belly rolls and specific isolation's will surely help you discover areas that may have "fallen asleep." This workshop offered at the sunny Swamis on Sunday July 31st, will be both a fun and challenging way to improve your coordination and explore something new.
